Frequently asked questions
To become affiliated please contact your state association who can help your club become affiliated.
Once affiliated to start delivering ANZ Tennis Hot Shots your club can either:
1. Have a qualified Tennis Australia coach sign up and deliver the program; or
2. If you don’t have access to a coach, Community Play enables you to also run the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots program
For more assistance on this please contact play@tennis.com.au or call 1800 752 983.
Of course! But it can be used for anything for the club and its players’ needs. It could contribute towards new equipment, court re-surfacing or even put towards a club house upgrade. These are just some ideas to get you thinking.
Entries will need to answer the question ‘What would your club/venue do with $10,000?’
All applications will be reviewed by the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots judges.
The judges will assess the merits of each application in their discretion based on fulfilment of eligibility criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions. Any grants awarded will be at the discretion of the panel of appointed judges.
Submitting an image with your entry is mandatory this year. Images don't need to be high definition and can be taken on a smart phone. We suggest showing us images that will help bring your entry to life. For example, if you are hoping to use the prize money to make repairs or physical upgrades to the club show us photos of your club currently or if you're hoping to get some new equipment show us what you're working with now.
Submitting a video is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
Your video does not have to be high quality – you can even film and submit from your smartphone.
To submit a video, you will need to upload it to YouTube or any other hosting website and paste the link in the application form. There is no time restriction on the video. It should be a ‘public’ or ‘unlisted’ video, not ‘private’, to ensure the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots judges can see your entry.
The promotion commences at 5am AEDT on Monday 7th October 2019 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on Tuesday 31st March 2020. There will be twenty successful recipients. The first round will be announced by 6th January 2020, and the final round of recipients will be announced by 1st May 2020. If you are not successful in the first round your entry will still be considered for the final round.
Note that the end date for entries has been extended until March 31st 2020 so you have a little more time to get your submission in
